Fragments

A sentence is a fragment if it is a dependent or subordinate clause. This means that it has both a subject and a verb in the correct form, but it begins with a subordinating conjunction and is not attached to another main clause that is a complete sentence on its own.
In other words, a sentence fragment is a piece or part of a sentence. It’s an incomplete sentence, one that’s missing a subject or a verb.
